[origin: WO2015058873A1] The present invention relates to a sensor apparatus (110) for detecting at least one property of a fluid medium (112), in particular of an exhaust gas from an internal combustion engine. The sensor apparatus (110) comprises at least one protective housing (114) for accommodating at least one sensor element, wherein at least one flow path (128) through which the fluid medium (112) can flow is provided within the protective housing (114). The flow path (128) has a number of at least three deflection points (131, 132, 133, 134, 135, 136) at which the fluid medium (112) experiences a change in direction through an angle of at least 90 degrees. The sensor apparatus (110) according to the invention has a high resistance to thermal shock given high dynamics of the sensor element at the same time.
