[origin: EP3062031A1] An air-conditioning apparatus 100 includes a first gas bypass pipe 5 branching off from a pipe on a discharge side of a compressor 10 and allowing refrigerant to flow into a defrosting-target heat source side heat exchanger 12 of a plurality of heat source side heat exchangers 12, a second gas bypass pipe 7 branching off from the pipe on the discharge side of the compressor 10 and allowing the refrigerant to flow into an accumulator 13, a plurality of first opening and closing devices 30, arranged in the first gas bypass pipe 5, permitting or stopping the flow of the refrigerant through the first gas bypass pipe 5, and at least one second opening and closing device 35, disposed in the second gas bypass pipe 7, permitting or stopping the flow of the refrigerant through the second gas bypass pipe 7.
