[origin: WO2015062705A1] The invention relates to a method for producing a contiguous ice body (100, 200) in a ground region (1), wherein first cooling lances (10) are inserted into the ground region (1) in which the contiguous ice body (100, 200) is to be produced in the presence of a flow (S) of a fluid flow medium flowing through the ground region (1), in particular in the form of groundwater, wherein a first coolant (T) is introduced into the first cooling lances (10), and wherein furthermore at least one second cooling lance (20) is introduced into the ground region (1) on a side (2) of the first cooling lances (10) facing the flow and a second coolant (T'), which has a temperature that is lower than the temperature of the first coolant (T), is introduced into the at least one second cooling lance (20) in order to support the formation of a contiguous ice body (100, 200) that surrounds all of the cooling lances (10, 20).
