[origin: EP3064834A1] A heater of the present invention includes a rod-shaped ceramic body, a heating resistor embedded in the ceramic body, a conductor layer that is electrically connected to the heating resistor, and a metal cap for external connection, the metal cap covering one end of the ceramic body together with at least a portion of the conductor layer. The metal cap has a slit in a portion of an outer periphery of the metal cap, the slit extending from an outer region toward an inner region.
