[origin: WO2015071447A1] The invention relates to an adhesive tape, in particular for covering elongated goods, such as cable sets in an automobile, comprising a carrier material, which is provided with an adhesive coating at least on one side, characterized in that the carrier material contains at least one layer that contains at least 7 wt% of polylactic acid (PLA), wherein the PLA is composed of a physical blend of at least two PLA polymers, thus is composed of at least a PLA polymer A and PLA polymer B, wherein PLA polymer A is produced from at least 80% D,D-lactide and PLA polymer B is produced from at least 80% L,L-lactide, wherein the ratio of D-lactic acid to L-lactic acid in the PLA blend lies between 0.4:0.6 and 0.6:0.4.
