[origin: WO2015081360A1] The invention relates to a bending press (1), comprising: a machine frame (3) having two side uprights (4, 5) spaced apart from each other; a stationary lower press beam (7) and a movable upper press beam (8); and at least one movement drive (17) coupled to the machine frame (3) and to the upper press beam (8); wherein the upper press beam (8) is arranged and movable at least partially between two parallel upper cross-members (11, 12) connecting the side uprights (4, 5) and at least one supporting element (19) bridging the distance (20) between the two cross-members is detachably fastened to the two cross-members (11, 12) by means of a fastening means (24) and furthermore the movement drive (17) has a contact surface (21) oriented upward, which contacts a supporting surface (22) on the supporting element (19) that is oriented downward. A top side (31) of the supporting element (19) is clamped by means of a fastening means (24) in the form of a clamping means (32) against at least one fastening surface (33) on both cross-members (11, 12) that is oriented downward.
