[origin: WO2015082273A1] The invention relates to a domestic refrigerator (1) with an interior (4, 5) for receiving food, said interior being delimited by walls of an inner container (3); a freshness-preserving container (8) for food, said container being arranged in the interior (4, 5) and being closeable by a cover (9); a mounting device (12) by means of which the cover (9) is mounted so as to be raisable and lowerable in order to open and close the freshness-preserving container (8) in the interior (4, 5); and an operating element (13) with which the cover (9) can be actuated. The domestic refrigerator (1) has a display unit (24) for symbolically displaying a moisture content in the freshness-preserving container (8), and a display element (28, 28') of the display unit (24) is mechanically coupled to the operating element (13) and can be moved into position dependent on the movement of the operating element (13) in order to display the moisture content.
