[origin: WO2015086179A1] Disclosed is a method for operating an on-board electric system in a motor vehicle, comprising a DC link storage element (7), a high-voltage energy accumulator (8) that is coupled to the DC link storage element (7), and a low-voltage energy accumulator (11) that is connected to the DC link storage element (7) via a voltage converter (10). The disclosed method is characterized in that the DC link storage element (7) is precharged using electricity from the low-voltage energy accumulator (11) via the voltage converter (10).
