[origin: EP3082270A1] Embodiments of the present invention provide an apparatus and method for adaptively selecting a beam based on a service and an environment in a wireless communication system supporting beamforming. According to an embodiment of the present invention, a method for operating a transmitting node of a wireless communication system comprises the steps of: determining a service type; and selecting an optimum beam on the basis of the determined service type. Various other embodiments of the present invention are also available.
