[origin: WO2015095307A1] A lid assembly (13) for a container (12) comprises a lid (14), a spout (16), a valve (20), and optionally a straw (18). The lid (14) provides a port for accessing fluids that communicates with the spout (16). The spout (16) provides a channel (28) so fluid can be withdrawn from the container (12). The spout (16) communicates with a valve (20). The valve (20) provides a substantially leak-resistant means of withdrawing fluid via the spout (16) from the volume of the container. The valve (20), lid (14), and spout (16) are removably connectable and sized such that they can be easily held by a user and separated for cleaning of hard to reach places, while at the same time, are assembled providing a substantially leak-resistant lid assembly (13).
