[origin: WO2015090606A1] The invention relates to a tube for receiving and controlling the flexible insertion part of an endoscope, comprising: an elongated tube insertion part having a flexible bent part at the distal end, said bent part being selectively bendable in relation to the tube insertion part; a control part at the proximal end of the tube insertion part; bending means for bending the bent part in a desired direction; a proximal insertion opening for the insertion part of the endoscope. The tube insertion part, the bent part and the control part form a continuous channel for the distal end of the insertion part of the endoscope, which distal end can be pushed in via the insertion opening and pushed up to or beyond the distal end of the bent part.
