Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2015091112A1] The invention relates to a handheld power tool with a tool receiving portion for receiving a tool on a working axis (11) and with an electric motor (5). A pneumatic percussive mechanism (6) has an exciter which is moved periodically back-and-forth parallel to the working axis (11) by the motor (5), a percussive element (14) which can be moved on the working axis (11) and which is coupled to the exciter via an air spring (18), and a ram (19) which is movably arranged on the working axis (11) and which is arranged downstream of the percussive element (14) in the striking direction (12). The ram (19) has a cylindrical ram portion (22) with a diameter and multiple grooves (30) in the ram portion (22), said grooves extending over the entire length (31) of the ram portion (22). A cross-sectional area of the ram portion (22) is maximally 5% smaller than a circular area defined by the diameter.
