[origin: DE102013021871A1] The motor vehicle (1) has multiple wheels (7), a brake system (2) with hydraulically actuated brakes (6), a brake circuit (5) over which the brakes are actuated and a brake booster (4) over which the brake circuit is operated. The brake booster is actuated by a brake pedal (3) to-be actuated by the driver. A pressure generating- or pressure storage unit (8) is provided over which the hydraulic pressure is modulated within the brake circuit. The pressure generating- or pressure storage unit is controlled by a control unit (10). Another pressure generating- or pressure storage unit (9) is provided in the brake circuit through which requirement-dependent pressure in the brake circuit is automatically increased independent of the former pressure generating- or pressure storage unit in case of a malfunction detected in the brake system.
