[origin: WO2015090431A1] The present invention relates to an articles treatment appliance (1), in particular for treating laundry or tableware, having a heat pump system (5), the heat pump system having a refrigerant loop. The appliance (1) comprises: an articles treatment chamber (2) for treating articles using a medium; a first heat exchanger (6) for heating a refrigerant; a second heat exchanger (7) for cooling the refrigerant and heating the medium; a refrigerant expansion device (14) arranged in the refrigerant loop between the second heat exchanger (7) and the first heat exchanger (6), and a compressor (8) arranged in the refrigerant loop between the first heat exchanger (6) and the second heat exchanger (7). The refrigerant is a blend comprising carbon dioxide (CO2) and at least one hydrocarbon (HC).
