Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2015104663A1] The electric walking-pace and travelling-pace drive (1) for a pair of skis consists, for each individual ski, of an electric motor (12) with a battery and electronic control unit for regulating the speed of the electric motor (12). It also comprises a guide frame which can be mounted on the ski and has rollers (4-7) for a belt (16) in the form of a circulating adhesion and drive belt. The belt projects downwards, by way of its adhesion side, beyond the sliding surface of the ski (17) in the operating state, wherein the guide frame can be clamped onto the ski and the belt can be driven by the electric motor (12) with control provided by the control unit. In a preferred embodiment, the electric drive unit has a guide frame with two parallel side walls, wherein a respective roller (4, 7) is mounted between the front and rear end regions of said side walls, the one, front roller (4) being a deflecting roller with a freewheel hub and the other, rear roller (7) being a motor-drive roller (7). Further running rollers (5) are mounted along the lower peripheries (18) of the side walls (2, 3) and roll on the belt. The lower peripheries (18) of the side walls (2, 3) project downwards beyond the operating belt (16). The electric motor (12) is installed with a reduction gear mechanism (10) in the interior of the drive roller (7). The battery and the electronic control unit can be fastened on the upper side of the ski, in front of or behind the ski binding (15, 25), using a quick-action retaining means.
