[origin: WO2015104252A2] The invention relates to a method for securing a crystal to a watch case, in which: at least one thin intermediate layer is attached by means of surface treatment to a zone of the surface of the crystal that is intended to come into contact with a corresponding zone of the watch case and/or to said corresponding zone of the watch case, said thin intermediate layer allowing the migration of ions and/or electrons; the aforementioned zones of the watch case and the crystal are applied against one another; the watch case/crystal assembly is heated to a sufficiently low heating temperature to guarantee that none of the materials forming the system leaves the solid phase; the crystal is connected to an electrode and the watch case is connected to a counter-electrode, and a voltage is applied between the electrode and the counter-electrode that accelerates the diffusion of the charged particles and thus creates new metallic, ionic or covalent bonds. The invention also relates to a watch case obtained using this method.
