[origin: WO2015104485A1] The invention relates to an access control reader comprising a housing (1) incorporating a base (2) having a main wall (20) designed to be secured to a support and a front part (3) mounted on the base (2), and to a device for detecting opening of the housing (1). The reader is characterized in that the base (2) and the front part (3) comprise complementary guide means shaped so as to guide the front part (3) in a tilting movement relative to the base (2) when the housing (1) is opened, from a closed configuration in which the front part (3) is secured and folded down onto the base (2) into an open configuration in which the front part (3) is spaced apart from the base (2) and is inclined relative to the main wall (20) at a predefined angle which is not zero. The invention is further characterized in that the detection device is mounted on the front part (3) in order to detect the tilting movement thereof.
