The supply device has at least one supply roller pair having two feeding rollers (400) arranged to have mutually parallel axes of rotation and to be rotatable in opposite directions to each other, and defining a supply nip for guiding the workpiece through the circumferential surface (410) of a belt profile. Each of the supply rollers is fastened to an end of an associated supply shaft (300) by a roller tensioning system in a rotationally mounted and replaceable manner. The roll tensioning system has a tensioning screw (500) located centrally with respect to the axes of rotation of the supply rolls and having a threaded portion (520) and a wider head (510) relative to the threaded portion. A gap (530) is configured in the tensioning screw, wherein the gap is open to the head side and has a non-circular clamping belt profile for guiding a tensioning tool.
