[origin: WO2015104499A1] The invention relates to an internal combustion engine comprising a cylinder head and, in the cylinder head, a camshaft distribution system lubricated by a lubrication system, said cylinder head being horizontal or inclined below the horizontal plane. Each cam (5 to 8) is lubricated by a trough (25 to 28) placed under the cam in order to form a local tank into which part of the cam descends. The volume of the trough is defined by two side faces, spaced apart from one another by between 1.1 and 3 times the thickness of the cam, and a base, the edge of at least one of the side faces defining a level that ensures that the top of the cam descends into the volume thus defined.
