Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2015106876A1] A fuel pump (18) comprises a fixed body (30) and a camshaft (36) cooperating with a piston slidably guided within a bore. The camshaft (36) is adapted to rotate and reciprocally actuate the piston inside the bore in order to pressurize fuel within a compression chamber. The camshaft (36) is provided with an integral fluid damper (42) adapted to damp hydraulic waves propagating in the fluid flowing through the rotational guiding (38).
