[origin: CA2986646A1] The invention relates to a method for the stepped rolling of a metal strip (4). The metal strip (4) is unwound by a feed reel device (5) and wound-up by a winding reel device (6). The metal strip (4) is guided through a roller gap (3) formed between two working rollers (1, 2) during the rolling process, and the roller gap (3) is changed in a controlled manner during the rolling process, whereby a thickness of the metal strip (4) is changed in steps in the longitudinal direction (7) during the rolling process. Tension applied to the metal strip (4) is controlled such that the rolling force applied to the metal strip (4) by the working rollers (1, 2) is constant during the rolling process.

Verfahren zum Stufenwalzen eines Metallbandes (4), wobei das Metallband (4) von einer Ablaufhaspelvorrichtung (5) abgewickelt und von einer Aufhaspelvorrichtung (6) aufgewickelt wird, wobei das Metallband (4) während des Walzprozesses durch einen zwischen zwei Arbeitswalzen (1,2) gebildeten Walzspalt (3) geführt wird und der Walzspalt (3) während des Walzprozesses gezielt verändert wird, wobei hierdurch eine Banddicke des Metallbandes (4) stufenweise in Längsrichtung (7) während des Walzprozesses verändert wird, wobei ein auf das Metallband (4) aufgebrachter Bandzug gezielt so gesteuert wird, dass die von den Arbeitswalzen (1,2) auf das Metallband (4) aufgebrachte Walzkraft während des Walzprozesses konstant oder annähernd konstant ist.
