[origin: WO2015113769A1] The invention relates to a separator with a housing (3) which forms a separating area (4), in which one or more ventilating bases (9) are arranged, and in which a separating gas passes through material to be separated in order to separate fine material (11) from coarse material (12). An inlet for the separating gas and an inlet for the material to be separated open into the separating area (4), and an outlet (8) for the fine material and an outlet (7) for the coarse material lead out from the separating area (4). The invention is characterized by at least one bypass channel (18) integrated into the housing (3) for bypassing the separating area (4). The bypass channel (18) leads out to the inlet for the separating gas and opens downstream of the separating area (4).
