[origin: EP3101989A1] The present invention relates to a random access method and apparatus for user equipment in a small cell base station having a small cell service area when cell carrier aggregation (for example, dual connectivity or inter-eNBcarrier aggregation) is performed between different base stations in a mobile communication system. A random access method in a mobile communication system according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises the steps of: receiving a configuration request message for configuring a serving cell group(SCG) from a second base station located within the service area of a first base station via the first base station; configuring the SCG cells according to the configuration request message and transmitting a configuration response message corresponding to the configuration request message to the second base station via the first base station; and performing a random access if uplink data exists in a logical channel(LCH) that is rearranged with the SCG cells.
