[origin: WO2015124558A1] The invention relates to a capsule (1) comprising a capsule body (2), which has a side wall (3) and a base (4) integrally formed with said side wall, and a cover (5), which covers the capsule body to form a chamber (6). The chamber (6) contains a substance (7) for the preparation of a liquid foodstuff, wherein a liquid can be conducted through the chamber. An outlet opening (8) is arranged on the base of the capsule body. The side wall or floor has a holding shoulder (10), on which a retaining floor (11) is held, which retains the substance (7) and through or around which the liquid can flow. A blocking membrane is arranged between the retaining floor (11) and the outlet opening (8) in such a manner that a substance-free intermediate space remains between the retaining floor and the blocking membrane. The blocking membrane can be ruptured under the internal pressure of the capsule.
