Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2016206985A1] The invention relates to a folding wheelchair (1) with lateral frames (2) arranged on both sides and with a cross bar (3), said cross bar (3) being mounted in the lateral frame (2) about parallel pivot axes (11). The wheelchair (1) has guide levers (28) on both sides, and each guide lever (28) is pivotally mounted in a bar (19) of the cross bar (3) and in the paired lateral frame (2). According to the invention, the guide lever (28) has a guide slot (33), and the bar (19) is connected to a guide pin (34) which engages into the guide slot (33). Additionally, a cam (35) is connected to the bar (19), and a cam follower (36) is connected to the guide lever (28). The cam (35) and the cam follower (36) interact in an end phase of the fold-open process of the wheelchair (1) for the purpose of moving the guide pin (34) into a defined position in the guide slot (33). Such a wheelchair (1) allows the lateral frame (2) of the wheelchair to be guided in a substantially parallel manner during the entire folding process of the wheelchair.
