Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2015161992A1] The invention relates to a method for providing a diagnostic message (DN1, DN2), which is associated with at least one process in a rail vehicle (10), - the process being carried out by at least one device (12, 14) of the rail vehicle (10), - a diagnosis device (16, 24) of the rail vehicle (10) associated with the process producing at least one diagnostic message (DM1, DM2), and - at least one environment dataset (UD1, UD2, UD3) being acquired by a data acquisition device (18, 26, 30). In order to provide a method of the generic type by way of which the time required for the preprocessing of the information content can be kept short despite a high data volume, the data acquisition device (18, 26, 30) comprises at least one image and/or sound-recording unit (20, 22, 32), image and/or sound data being recorded by the image and/or sound-recording unit (20, 22, 32) and the environment dataset (UD1, UD2, UD3) containing the image and/or sound data, and the diagnostic message (DM1, DM2) and the environment dataset (UD1, UD2, UD3) being combined by a combination unit (21) of the rail vehicle (10) to produce the diagnostic message (DN1, DN2).
