[origin: US2017005439A1] An electrical connector with electromagnetic shielding includes a connector housing containing an insert configured to receive at least one electrical contact. The connector housing includes a connector body with a substantially cylindrical shape having a rear section, a central section and a front section. A ground ring is mounted around the front section of the connector body. A foolproofing section independent of the connector body is mounted at least partly around the front section of the connector body.

L'invention concerne un connecteur électrique à blindage électromagnétique, comportant un boîtier de connecteur (10) contenant un insert apte à recevoir au moins un contact électrique, dans lequel le boîtier de connecteur comporte : - un corps de connecteur (100, 200) de forme sensiblement cylindrique comportant une section arrière (11), une section centrale (12) et une section avant (14,18), - une bague de masse (20) montée autour de la section avant (14, 18) du corps de connecteur, et - une section de détrompage (15, 17) indépendante du corps de connecteur et montée au moins partiellement autour la section avant (14, 18) dudit corps de connecteur.
