Abstract (en)
The invention relates to a package (10) for a smokeless tobacco product comprising a can (12), a sealing member (14) and a lid (16). The lid comprises a waste compartment (42) and is configured to close the can (12). The can (12) comprises a bottom wall and a side wall (22) forming a storage space (18), the side wall having a top surface (32), wherein the package (10) further comprises a sealing member (14) being configured to be attached to an inner portion (30) (22) and the top surface (32) of the side wall (22) of the can (12) and wherein the sealing member (14) is preformed to have a substantially cup-like shape such that the sealing member (14) has a bottom surface (24) and a peripheral wall (26) extending substantially perpendicular from the bottom surface (24).
