Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2015135931A1] The invention relates to a sack feeding device, in particular for a stationary industrial sewing machine, welding device or the like for production of sack closures, consisting of a supporting plate (20) arranged substantially horizontal, a through-slit (21) extending in the longitudinal direction of the supporting plate (20), a conveyor device (6) arranged on both sides of the through-slit (21) for engaging the sacks below the sack edges to be sewn or to be closed and for feeding the sacks to a sewing unit, welding device, or the like, a gearbox (1) arranged on the supporting plate (20) close to the entry region (22) of the through-slit (21) and connected to a drive motor (3), the output shaft (4) of said gearbox being operatively connected to the conveyor device (6) and setting it in motion, and two cutting blades (11, 14) arranged opposite one another, which are drivable and rotate around substantially vertical axes. A sack feeding device of this type is to be equipped such that it can function with and also without cutting knives, without extensive assembly work. This is achieved in that the rotating cutting knives (11, 14) are mounted in a separately designed knife block (2) and the knife block (2) with the cutting knives (11, 14) can be displaced relative to the gearbox (1) between an active and an inactive operating position and can be fixed in a predefined operating position.
