[origin: CA2942061A1] Polarity-reversal protection means for plug connectors having two plug connector parts (100, 200) which can be plugged one into the other, wherein one plug connector part (100) has a first coding element, and the other plug connector part (200) has a second coding element, and wherein the two coding elements are matched to one another such that they allow plug connection when the plug connector parts (100, 200) are arranged correctly, and prevent plug connection when the plug connector parts (100, 200) are not arranged correctly, characterized in that one coding element is a groove (110) which runs in the plugging direction and has a trapezoidal cross section, and in that the other coding element is a coding rib (210) which runs in the plugging direction and is of U-shaped design with walls (212, 213) which are arranged such that they can be elastically bent in a U shape.
