The device (1) used for drying the yarn sheet (2) is provided with an inlet, an outlet, and at least two drying cylinders disposed between the inlet and the outlet. The fiber group path between the inlet and the outlet on the peripheral parts of the drying cylinders is disposed around the drying cylinders. The load of the yarns is kept small during the drying process. Every drying cylinder is provided with an own rotation driving mechanism and a control mechanism used to trigger the rotation driving mechanism independently.

Es wird eine Vorrichtung (1) zum Trocknen einer Fadenschar (2) angegeben mit einem Eingang, einem Ausgang und mindestens zwei Trockenzylindern zwischen dem Eingang und dem Ausgang, wobei ein Fadenscharpfad zwischen dem Eingang und dem Ausgang die Trockenzylinder auf einem Teil ihres Umfangs umschlingt. Man möchte die Belastung der Fäden beim Trocknen klein halten. Hierzu ist vorgesehen, dass jeder Trockenzylinder einen eigenen Rotationsantrieb aufweist und eine Steuereinrichtung vorgesehen ist, die die Rotationsantriebe einzeln ansteuert.
