[origin: WO2015140466A1] According to the invention, the method includes at least the steps consisting of: - stopping the winding of the strip (2) to be cut by stopping the rotation of the bobbin (3); - creating a transverse line of weakness (8) on the strip (2), upstream from the bobbin (3); - restarting the winding, with a controlled speed and tension for the band (2), by restarting rotation with a controlled speed for the bobbin (3) so as to move said line of weakness; - locking the strip (2) upstream/downstream from the line of weakness; and - exerting a pulling force on the strip (2) upstream/downstream from the line of weakness so as to permanently cut the strip (2) along said line of weakness.
