[origin: WO2015140445A1] Apparatus for treating gases originating from electrolytic cells (2) for the production of aluminium, said cells being placed along two parallel lines (3), comprising means (4) for capturing the gases (1) at the electrolytic cells (2), ducts (5) that collect the gases to be captured at the electrolytic cells (2), at least one duct (7) transporting the gases to a gas treatment centre (8) and exchangers (9) that make it possible to cool the gases before the entry thereof into the gas treatment centre (8), the exchangers (9) are placed in parallel along at least one duct (7) that transports the gases to the treatment centre (8), it being possible for each exchanger (9) to operate independently of the others and to be provided with insulation devices (16) on either side of the exchanger (9), the gases being distributed in all or some of the exchangers (9) by a plenum (13) then assembled in another plenum (14) after cooling. .
