[origin: WO2015144371A1] A method (100) and an apparatus (200) are used by a user to plan and/or control simple, rapid, timely and - as a result of time, travel costs, fuel and power being saved - economic and environmentally friendly performance of a task with a data record (101) that comprises a respective indication of an action to be performed by the user or of a category for such an action to be performed, of a location at which the task is to be performed, of a period of time within which the task can be performed, with an associated end time (te), and of a permitted additional travel expense (u), wherein a current position of the user is ascertained (107), for each of the at least one task a check is performed (112) to determine whether visiting the at least one location at which the task is to be performed from the current position requires additional travel expense that is no greater than the permitted additional travel expense, and if so the user is provided with a piece of information about the current possibility of performing the task (113).
