[origin: EP3124687A1] The present invention provides a method of cleaning a condensing apparatus 7 of a laundry dryer 1 where the condensing apparatus 7 includes an air passage 9, a water supply apparatus 21 connected to the air passage 9, and a fan 11 that enables air 8 from a drying drum 5, 6 to pass through the air passage 9, where the air passage 9 has a turbulence apparatus 30, 31, 32 that enables the air 8 passing through the air passage 9 to generate a turbulent flow, the cleaning method which includes running a cleaning process, and the cleaning process includes: continuously supplying, by the water supply apparatus 21, water into the air passage 9; and enabling, by the control apparatus 100, the fan 11 to run, controlling a running parameter of the fan 11 to gradually increase a rotation speed of the fan 11, and at least increasing the rotation speed until partially water is lifted by air 8 and gradually converges at the turbulence apparatus 30, 31, 32. The water that converges inside the air passage 9 tumbles and surges in the air passage 9, so as to flush an inner wall 19 of the air passage 9. The invention further discloses a laundry dryer 1 capable of implementing the foregoing cleaning method.
