[origin: WO2015149088A1] The invention relates to an advancing and straightening device for a plurality of wires or double wires guided parallel to a grid welding machine, comprising apparatuses for straightening the wires and for advancing a wire or double wire in the production line, wherein the advancing apparatus (21) has at least two at least partially driven advancing rollers (22, 22') lying opposite each other with a gap for the wire (1) arranged therebetween and the straightening apparatus has rows of straightening rollers (20, 20') lying rotatably against opposite sides of the particular wire (1), which rows of straightening rollers are supported on a roller carrier, the straightening rollers being combined into groups having variously oriented axes, and wherein an apparatus combined therewith for selecting a wire or double wire (1) from a plurality of wires (1-5) arranged one over the other horizontally and for feeding said wire or double wire into the production line leading to the grid welding machine.
