Abstract (en)

A connector includes: a base formed with slot; a conductive terminal held in the base, an upper portion of the conductive terminal being received in the slot of the base; an elastic clip each received in the slot of the base and mounted on the upper portion of the conductive terminal, each elastic clip being formed with an arc protrusion protruding outwardly; and a driving member each adapted to be inserted into the slot of the base to drive the elastic clip to move between a first position and a second position, each driving member being formed with a first recess and a second recess located above the first recess. When the arc protrusion is engaged with the first recess, the elastic clip is held in the first position, where an insertion space is defined between the elastic clip and the conductive terminal to receive a wire inserted therein; and when the arc protrusion is engaged with the second recess, the elastic clip is held in the second position, where the wire inserted into the insertion space is clamped between the elastic clip and the conductive terminal by the elastic clip. The electrical connection between the wire and the conductive terminal of the connector may be achieved only by inserting the driving member into the slot of the base, without requiring any other additional tools, improving wiring efficiency of the connector.
