[origin: CN106450840A] The present application relates to a clamping device for holding a plurality of wires of a cable in a clamping mode and an open combination unit and a method for operating the clamping device, the clamping device having at least two clamping arms and corresponding gripping areas designed on the arm and a wire capable of sandwiching the cable to the holding surface of the holding area, respectively. The corresponding gripping arms are resiliently brought into the gripping position in which the wires can be held against the mating face of the dowel by means of the gripping area thereof; and the corresponding gripping arm can be deflected outwardly from the gripping position into the release position in which the wire can be introduced between the clamping area and the clamping surface. Herein, an operation region spaced from the holding region is provided on the corresponding holding arm, so that the deflection of the holding arm can be achieved by applying an operating member different from the wire to be clamped to the operating area.
