[origin: CA2943572A1] The invention relates to a device for the automated processing, such as grinding, cutting, and/or deburring, of workpieces (60), in particular cast components, e.g., of wind turbines. For this purpose, the device comprises a motor spindle (16) for processing the workpiece (60), wherein the motor spindle (16) has a tool interface (32) for holding a tool (56) for the processing. Furthermore, the motor spindle is designed in particular for automatically exchanging a tool (56). In addition, the device comprises a robot (14) for retaining and guiding the motor spindle (16) and a control unit (36) for controlling the motor spindle (16) and the robot (14). The invention further relates to a method for the automated processing of workpieces.
