[origin: WO2015158480A1] The present invention relates to a security container for storing valuables of a user, said security container comprising a housing defining at least one access opening and at least one lockable closure configured to be transferred between an opened state and a closed state of said at least one access opening. In order to provide a security container of the above type, which is advantageous over the conventional security containers in terms of handling and user-friendliness, the security container forms an umbrella base. A corresponding method is also disclosed.
