[origin: US2017049215A1] An applicator and an associated applicator assembly for a cosmetic product. The applicator has a core having a main longitudinal extension direction (X), and a plurality of protrusions projecting from the core in a direction which is perpendicular (Y) to the main direction (X). At least one of the protrusions has a first portion having a proximal end which is in contact with the core and an opposite distal end along the perpendicular direction (Y), and a second portion having a proximal end in the region of the distal end of the first portion and a free distal end. The second portion being angularly offset with respect to the first portion in such a way that the first and second portions are located on both sides of a plane (P) containing the main direction (X) and the perpendicular direction Y.

L'invention concerne un applicateur (10) pour produit cosmétique comprenant une âme (12) présentant une direction d'extension longitudinale principale (X), dite direction principale, et une pluralité de protubérances (20) faisant saillie de ladite âme (12) selon une direction normale (Y) à ladite direction principale (X), l'une au moins desdites protubérances (20) comprenant une première portion (21) présentant une extrémité proximale (23) au contact avec l'âme (12) et une extrémité distale (24) opposée le long de ladite direction normale (Y), et une seconde portion (22) présentant une extrémité proximale (25) au niveau de l'extrémité distale (24) de ladite première portion (21) et une extrémité distale libre (26), ladite seconde portion (22) étant décalée angulairement par rapport à ladite première portion (21) de sorte que lesdites première et seconde portions (21, 22) se trouvent de part et d'autre d'un plan (P) contenant ladite direction principale (X). L'invention concerne aussi un ensemble applicateur associé.
