Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2015161955A1] The invention discloses a fire-extinguishing and/or fire-protection device (1) which is formed from - a pressure vessel (2), which is filled with a pressurized extinguishing medium (L) and has an exit opening (4) which is closed by a closure element (5), which can be perforated by means of a perforation element (13), such that the pressurized extinguishing medium (L) is held back in the pressure vessel (2), and from - a passively thermally controlled trigger valve (10), which is attached directly to the exit opening (4) and has a perforation element (13) and a thermal triggering element (24), wherein the perforation element (13) is prestressed in the direction of a triggering position and is retained, by the thermal triggering element (24), in a standby position, which differs from the triggering position, and wherein the thermal triggering element (24), when triggered as a result of a predetermined triggering temperature being reached, releases the perforation element (13) in such a manner that, driven by the prestressing to which it is subjected in the standby position, it moves into the triggering position, in which it perforates the closure element (5). The invention also discloses a thermal trigger valve (10) suitable for use in such a fire-extinguishing and/or fire-protection device (1). The invention provides for a miniaturised fire-extinguishing and/or fire-protection device which can be used to equip, and protect, specifically delimited, reasonably sized spaces which are exposed to an increased fire risk.
