Abstract (en)
The invention relates to an elevator comprising a hoistway (H); an elevator car (1) vertically moveable in the hoistway (H); an elevator control (100); the elevator being configured to serve passengers by controlling movement of the elevator car (1) in response to signals received from passengers; a sensing means for sensing persons on top of the roof of the elevator car (1) and/or on the floor of the hoistway (H). The sensing means comprises one or more pressure sensitive films (3a,3b) mounted on top of the roof of the elevator car (1) and/or on the pit floor of the hoistway (H) and configured to sense pressure exerted thereon; and the elevator is configured to prevent said serving of passengers if pressure is exerted on one or more of the one or more pressure sensitive films (3a,3b).
