[origin: CA2974045A1] The invention relates to a method for wrapping a strap around at least one object. The at least one object is surrounded by a strap, and the strap is arranged around the at least one object in the form of an object strap loop such that at least two strap portions are arranged so as to overlap and are connected. In a region in which the at least two strap portions overlap, a counterpressure plate is introduced between the at least one object and the strap, and the at least two overlapping strap portions are pressed against the counterpressure plate so as to be connected. The strap is guided through a strap guiding device (7) and/or is positioned before introducing the counterpressure plate (9) such that a defined clearance is produced for introducing the counterpressure plate.
