Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2015170054A1] The invention relates to a folding device for forming a corrugation (2) in a metal sheet, the folding device comprising: a frame (9); a matrix comprising two matrix elements (14, 15) each having a concave half-cavity, slidably mounted on the frame (9); a punch (11) comprising a head (12) capable of being inserted into the cavity (13) of the matrix such as to press the metal sheet; and two die cushions (16, 17) slidably mounted and vertically movable relative to the lower frame (9) such as to clamp the metal sheet (1) against the bearing surfaces of the matrix elements (14, 15). During the movement of the punch (11) into the folding position thereof, the metal sheet (1) transmits a traction force to the matrix elements (14, 15) and to the die cushions (16, 17) such as to move same into the adjacent position thereof.
