[origin: WO2015169630A1] The invention relates to a filling apparatus for filling containers with a liquid or viscous material, having a product supply (12) and a pre-filling chamber (14), which has a feed (26) from the product supply and a controllable outlet (28), said filling apparatus having a movable sealing arrangement (18), which opens the feed when in an open position and closes the feed when in a closed position, and having a displacer arrangement (36), the volume of which that projects into the pre-filling chamber (14) is variable, said displacer arrangement having a flexible surface layer (38; 82, 92) towards the pre-filling chamber.
