Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2015176813A1] Disclosed is a tensioning band which is designed to be applied to a closed sports shoe. The tensioning band comprises an annular section on one side, said annular section being designed to encompass the sole of the sports shoe and the thereto opposing tongue of the sports shoe and guaranteeing complete unobstructed access to the surface encompassed by the annular section. The tensioning band comprises a u-shaped section at the other side for encompassing the counter of the sports shoe, the ends of the counter being connected to the annular section at two peripheral areas of the annular section arranged at a distance from one another. The invention further relates to a closed sports shoe, in particular in the form of a football shoe, provided with such a tensioning band.
