[origin: WO2015177726A1] The invention relates to a lunchbox for storing, transporting and heating foodstuffs, particularly foodstuffs prepared for consumption. The lunchbox is intended to be easy to handle. The lunchbox comprises an upper shell (1) and a lower shell (2), which are joined to one another at one longitudinal side in a foldable manner, wherein a closure means is provided on the opposite longitudinal side. Arranged in the lower shell (2) is a shell having a peripheral edge region which is angled in an L-shaped manner and which is assigned thermal insulation and a heating element, wherein a groove for accommodating a seal is integrally formed in the peripheral edge region of the shell.
