[origin: WO2015177553A1] The present invention is directed to an epilatory device comprising a flat elongate body having an adhesive paste medium applied to a first side of the body, wherein the ratio of the length of the flat elongate body to the length of the adhesive paste is from 1.25:1 to 1.15:1and/or the ratio of the area of the flat elongate body to the area of the adhesive paste is from 1.87:1 to 1.65:1. The adhesive paste medium is a cold epilatory wax. The advantages of the invention include that it provides efficacious hair removal without leaving significant wax residue on a user's skin.
