[origin: GB2526304A] A processor for controlling operation of a central tyre inflation system (CTIS) (1) to change a tyre pressure of a tyre (T) of a vehicle (8) is configured to control the CTIS (1) to inflate or deflate the tyre (T) to a predetermined tyre pressure which is above a target tyre pressure for said tyre (T). The processor then controls the CTIS (1) to deflate said tyre (T) until the target tyre pressure is reached. In this manner, a second tyre inflation operation to achieve the target tyre pressure in the tyre (T) can be avoided.
